As Development Director, Carrie is responsible for advancing the Kids to Love mission by leading fundraising endeavors and building relationships.
A former broadcast journalist and experienced fundraiser, Carrie has dedicated her career to advocating for the under-served and promoting worthy causes. Before joining the Kids to Love team, she served as the Development Manager for Arts Huntsville. Prior to that, Carrie spent a decade in television news, including six years as an anchor and investigative reporter at Huntsville’s WHNT.
It was at WHNT where she met her husband, and together they decided to make Huntsville home. Now, she spends most of her free time chasing two rambunctious boys, Branson and Bennett--three if you count their 80 pound sheepdog Max.
Carrie holds a BA from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in Arizona. Her work has been recognized with a regional EMMY, an Edward R. Murrow award, and several Associated Press awards.
