The WDRM Home town tour ended this weekend with the drawing of the winner of the Dierks Bentley autographed guitar donated by Capital Records. Listeners across the Tennessee Valley have been donating to the Kids to Love "More Than A Backpack" campaign for a chance to win. Grady Thigpen of Fayetteville won the guitar - but the big winner was our kids! iHeart Media Huntsville presented a check for $625. Parsons & Kids to Love Hit a Hole in One!
The 6th Annual Parson's Golf Tournament to benefit Kids to Love brought a record number of golfers to the links on Friday, July 29th. More Kids to Love Scholars!
Kids to Love awarded 34 college scholarships to students at our 12th annual scholarship luncheon July 28th. Foster children who want to continue their education are nominated by their social workers to received the scholarship. This year's class has ambitions toward nursing, social work and computer technology. Sacred Huff and Ja'Cobie Edwards, who have previously received Kids to Love scholarships, motivated this year's recipients by sharing their stories of triumph over obs
