Dr. Julie Finley
Director of Education
Dr. Julie Finley is a 25-year veteran educator and specialist in curriculum design and program development. She received a Bachelor of Science in English and Psychology from Murray State University, a Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling from Western Kentucky University and holds a Doctorate in Organizational Administration from the University of Louisville.
Dr. Finley previously served as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction for Bob Jones High School of Madison City Schools. While working with Madison City Schools, Finely wrote and submitted the documentation which resulted in Bob Jones High School being named in America's best high schools by Washington Post, US News and World Report and Newsweek.
Dr. Finley then served in the role as Vice President of Educational Initiatives at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC) when in 2013 she joined Dr. Deborah Barnhart's executive staff in the position for curriculum content and program design. Her responsibilites included managing the devlopment of educational connections throughout the Center; working with state leadership to increase awareness and participation in Space Camp®, Aviation Challenge Camp and Robotics Camp; extending the visiblity and prominence of the museum in key education venues regionally, nationally and internationally; and promoting increased cutomer satisfaction for each individual guest. These distinctive experiences, coupled with intense professional prepartion, provide a unique vantage point as an education leader and program consultant. Dr. Finley is co-owner of Paul Finley Consulting and serves as a Real Colors® facilitator.
