Kids to Love awarded 34 college scholarships to students at our 12th annual scholarship luncheon July 28th.
Foster children who want to continue their education are nominated by their social workers to received the scholarship.
This year's class has ambitions toward nursing, social work and computer technology.
Sacred Huff and Ja'Cobie Edwards, who have previously received Kids to Love scholarships, motivated this year's recipients by sharing their stories of triumph over obstacles familiar to youth living in foster care.
Huff will begin law school at George Washington University in the fall. Edwards is currently a Huntsville firefighter.
Kids to Love scholarships pay $1,000 toward school expenses, and can be renewed for up to 4 years.
Kids to Love has awarded 482 scholarships since 2005.
