Community Comes Out in Support of Davidson Farms

Kids to Love welcomed approximately 500 people to an Open House at Davidson Farms, a home for girls, on Sunday, May 14th.  The Open House took place on Mother's Day, and that was by design.

“Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate family and to honor moms for the love and care they show us,” says Kids to Love Founder and CEO Lee Marshall. “Many of the girls we serve don’t know that love and care, but they will find it at Davidson Farms. We believe that will be a significant turning point in their lives.”

Davidson Farms will be a refuge for girls living in foster care. Located at 4533 Elkwood Section Road in Ardmore, Alabama, it is named for Dr. Dorothy Davidson, whose generous donation allowed the Kids to Love Foundation to purchase the 10,000 square foot home including 10.5 acres.

Visitors were able to tour the house and see renovations that have been made since Kids to Love purchased the property in 2016.  There are still a few tasks to complete before girls can move into the home, including the licensure process.  Kids to Love hopes a license will be issued mid-summer so the girls can move in in time for school to start in August.
