The amount of trust Rey & Cynthia Almodóvar have placed in our organization is astounding and humbling. On Sunday, January 26, the organization's 16th birthday, we celebrated the gift of their beloved and sprawling Fayetteville, Tennessee estate, Cerro Tranquilo with a ribbon cutting and open house. Nestled on more than 42-acres, the property will be used to serve children living in foster care in unprecedented ways. For example, Kids to Love has already scheduled 4 week-long sibling reunification summer camps to be curated through Camp Hope Alabama.
Camp Hope Alabama is a program already in existence and is an outreach of the Kids to Love Foundation. At Camp Hope, siblings meet during a fun weekend retreat in a home-like atmosphere as many as four times a year. Serro Tranquillo will allow the children to meet for longer periods of time to help them maintain and build sibling bonds.
